THIS IS A 24 HOUR CONFIDENTIAL HELPLINE FOR ADVICE ON INCIDENTS WHERE YOU FEEL YOU PROBABLY DO NOT NEED TO CALL OUT THE DOCTOR OR GO TO THE ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT BUT NEED SOMEONE QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED TO TURN TO.

Out-Of-Hours Emergencies

When the Surgery is closed, an out-of-hours service is provided for advice on medical emergencies which cannot wait for the Surgery to open again. A doctor can give you telephone advice or recommend whether you attend the out-of-hours primary care centre. Only in exceptional circumstances will a home visit be authorised by the doctor.

Please telephone 01268 765533 where a recorded message will direct you to the emergency number which changes according to the time of day. the out-of-hours service is currently run by Essex Ambulance service. Advice is also available from NHS Direct (0845 4647).

FACILITIES FOR THE DISABLED

There is wheelchair access into the waiting room, a toilet for the disabled and a consulting room downstairs for those patients who are unable to climb the stairs.
